Ruark Audio R5

The Ruark R5 High Fidelity Music System. An all in one system offering all the connectivity, design and sound quality you could ask for from such a system. The R5 expresses Ruark's passion for quality in build and design on top of functionality, featuring a handcrafted cabinet, the coolness of the glass and metal components and the warmth of the fabric grille, the R5 is sure to make a statement and add style to any living environment. With Ruark's expanding the range of streaming capable devices, the R5 offers multi-room compatibility with the MRx, R2 mk3 and R7 mk3.

The R5 features newly developed Class A-B amplifiers in a 2.1 configuration with active electronics to precisely control the loudspeaker units. Designed to provide a beautifully natural frequency response thanks to a powerful neodymium magnet system coupled with a lightweight cone/coil assembly. The long-throw subwoofer provides effortless extended bass for lifelike aural drama. Thanks to the careful design in the development of the R5 to create the perfect cabinet. carefully selected materials and partitioned, damped and tuned internals provide the ideal conditions for the drive units and electronics.

Controllability is simple with the Ruark RotoDial featured on Ruark's other products. The R5 is also supplied with a 'radio-link' remote which mirrors the controls on the R5 itself. Radio communication means that you don't need to aim the remote at the R5 to operate. You can also control the R5 from the Ruark Link app for iOS and Android devices, making browsing music services and internet radio stations along with multi-room setup much simpler.

Playback, the R5 has you covered. Wi-Fi streaming, multi-format CD player, aptX HD Bluetooth, DAB/FM and internet radio tuners, USB playback/charge port, analogue and digital inputs and even a dedicated RIAA turntable input are all offered by the R5 allowing you to enjoy whichever music source grabs your mood. You can even connect your TV for improved audio.

The R5 is available in two finishes, Rich Walnut and Soft Grey.

Ruark Link App

Ruark has developed an app called Ruark Link, allowing you to wirelessly connect your mobile device to your Ruark system. Once downloaded you will be greeted on an 'Audio System' screen, allowing you to connect to your Ruark device of choice. Some devices have different options than others. The MRx, R2, R4 and R7 will be available to use on App. The app has quite a diverse amount of choices such as Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, DAB/FM and much more.

The new MRx from Ruark Audio is the latest addition offering wireless connectivity either the built-in Bluetooth receiver with aptX for quick, easy direct connection, offering CD-quality streaming from compatible devices, or via an internet connection allowing access to a number of streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and Tidal, (Amazon Music coming soon), plus internet radio stations from all over the world.

MRx also features a combined 3.5mm optical and analogue input which allows auxiliary devices to be connected easily, included Amazon Alexa and Google Chromecast Audio, it also features a multi-purpose USB socket for playback from memory sticks or to charge/power your smart device.

From the years of experience, Ruark has with developing speakers, they have worked tirelessly to create a system which they believe will exceed expectations. creating new speaker drivers based on the technology used in the award-winning MR1.

The MRx can also be controlled from Ruark's new app for iOS and Android devices, as well as being multi-room compatible with other Ruark systems such as the R2 and R7 we already know and love. Designed to fit in your room where space allows, you can position the MRx either landscape or portrait mode, and available in a choice of two finishes, Rich Walnut veneer or soft grey lacquer.

Who is Ruark?

Ruark Audio is a family-owned British company, founded in 1986, well known for their specialist speakers ranges, now specialise in compact lifestyle radio systems. The company found massive success with the launch of their first unit, the R1, which has since evolved into its third rendition. Shortly after the R1 was launched, a multitude of larger and more prolific products began to appear on Ruark's catalogue and soon after, the same products would be seen in kitchens, bedrooms, offices and living rooms all over the world.
