Rotel RB-1582 mkII stereo power amplifier

The RB1582mk2 is a heavily revised and re-worked version of the original and highly regarded RB1582, offering even greater musical enjoyment than it's earlier incarnation. With 200 watts power channel on tap and huge current reserves, the RB-1582mkII is capable of driving very low impedance speakers very effectively. Any great power amp is only as good as it's power supply, and the 1582 mk2 has a very high current toroidal transformer at its cure, supported by over 60,000 uF of slit foil capacitors, which are able to charge and discharge very rapidly, allowing it to produce high dynamic peaks needed by the music.

Both balanced and unbalanced inputs are provided on the rear panel to suit your pre-amplifier. Each channel of the power amplifier is constructed as a dual mono amplifier, sharing the power supply only, and care taken to provide a very low noise star earthing arrangement to ensure low noise and hum. Ten pairs of high current bipolar junction transistors per channel can easily cope with the dynamic demands of this amplifier, ensuring long-term reliability.
