While the HiCap power supply may be small in stature, its aptitude for optimising the integrity of your Naim system's musical prowess should not be underestimated. This compact power supply can be used in conjunction with essentially all of Naim Audio's separate preamplifier models, as well as their phono stages and active crossover components. It houses a large toroidal transformer and its benevolent, high-quality smoothing capacitors guarantee an outstanding level of performance.  Owners of the NAC-282 preamplifier can enjoy additional sound improvements via the use of an additional, secondary HiCap to their audio system.

Who is Naim?

Naim Audio has a special place in British audio, thanks to its founder and inspirational leader Julian Vereker, a hugely talented mechanical and electronic engineer with a passion for, amongst many things, music. Founded in 1973, Naim has always had a firm philosophy of music first, measurements second - each Naim product is extensively auditioned as part of the product development process to make sure that it delivers clear, emotional music-making ability.

Naim products are designed to bring the closest facsimile of a live music event into your home listening environment, to give you maximum pleasure from your music collection. Many of the Naim products are evolutions of previous designs, incorporating sometimes quite small changes to the mechanical or electronic design - however, these incremental changes make a large overall improvement in the music performance of each product. Unlike other audio brands, built-in obsolescence is not part of the plan. Naim products can often be upgraded in performance by the addition of several different levels of an external power supply. In this way, the owner of a Naim component can upgrade their system without having to continually sell existing equipment.
