Stage X Overview
Martin Logan describe the Stage X as being the world's most advanced center channel speaker, utilising Martin Logan renowned and state of the art XStat electrostatic panel technology, as well as a Folded Motion tweeter, twin 6.5-inch aluminium-cone woofers, and topped with highly intelligent Vojtko crossover.
XStat™ Transducer & Folded Motion™ Tweeter
One of the main aspects of the Stage X's superiority is the innovative Folded Motion tweeter, which is located right behind the XStat electrostatic panel within a special housing that offers the aesthetic appearance of a seamless electrostatic panel. This completely irradiated the necessity for a bulky and invasive tweeter-housing, mounted to the front of the ESL panel, the Stage X practically eliminates all high-frequency diffraction.
This specialised mounting method also enhances the mid-range/high-frequency phase coherence and time alignment, while delivering phenomenal dispersion characterises to form a superior sound-stage.
The Folded Motion tweeter technology proves an ideal match for the electrostatic transducers, providing lightning fast transient response combined with a large surface area (8-times that of a typical 1" dome tweeter) to create clear, dynamic and precise sound.
