As source devices grow and evolve, modern amplifiers are having to make room in order to cater for the latest devices. Unfortunately, this means that the once very common phono capability is often removed in order to make room for these new devices. Creek believe that vinyl offers a superlative sound that is simply not the same as digital sources. In order to reflect this belief, the prestigious audio company have focused a great deal of engineering effort into advancing the technical and sonic integrity of their phono components.

The Mk2 version of the well-regarded OBH-15 features an entirely new circuitry design, complete with a discrete transistor Moving Cartridge (MC) and integrated circuit Moving Magnet (MM) stage. Small and stylish, the OBH-5 Mk 2 has been designed to complement the full-sized Creek components both in terms of aesthetic appearance and in sonic integrity. Available with either a silver of black appearance, the aluminium case has been fitted with turned aluminium disc feet and sound absorbing Bumpons. The OBH-15 mk2 is small device designed to boost the signal and introduce an R.I.A.A. frequency response characteristic to provide the most accurate reproduction of the recording.
