Chord's most popular subwoofer cable was the highly rated Chord Crimson. High-quality conductors and exceptional shielding meant that the cable was able to retain the integrity of the signal, even over long lengths. The Crimson has since been upgraded with VEE 3 technology, meaning that the gauge conductors are heavier and the shielding itself has been increased.
Chord learnt a lot from designing the Crimson Vee 3 and incorporated this into the revised versions of the Cobra and Chameleon cables, and while;e the Crimson VEE 3 was difficult to fault - the noticeable level of precision and depth that the Cobra Vee 3 was able to deliver was astounding.
